Book sales up and more store openings …

It has already been a good year with a number of stellar ‘feel good’ books breaking records … sales of the print-book market are the best since 2011 rising to £1.3bn in the year to December 1 … the industry is going through a renaissance … sales could reach £1.6bn after Christmas is taken into account.” She added: “The best news of all is that people are buying books again from physical book stores rather than on line … for the first time in  years there were more net openings of book shops than closures.”
